How can home energy become more visible?
geo will use the EUW forum (3-5 October) to show how technology and data services can be bought ‘together under one roof’ to create a Hybrid Home.
The importance of making home energy more visible to consumers will be a key focus for Green Energy Options (geo), the pioneering developer of smarter energy products and services, at the European Utility Week 2017 event at the RAI Amsterdam (3-5 October). As well as demonstrations showing how geo solutions can help to raise greater awareness of energy use in the home, the stand (3A51) will also feature a model Tesla car, which will be raffled during the course of the show.
geo will use the EUW forum to show how technology and data services can be brought ‘together under one roof’ to create a Hybrid Home – a way to combine traditional and contemporary energy management and storage that will lower running costs and improve living standards.
The stand will focus clearly on three vital areas of home energy consumption: understand, control and automate.
Understand – How can consumers make changes to their energy usage unless it is visible? geo’s range of solar and energy monitors give consumers, at a glance, a clear view of how their solar and general energy usage is being made. Engaging with the process and being able to make instant, visible changes helps consumers to understand what is happening in their own homes.
Control – geo’s smart thermostats for heating and water, and its smart plugs are part of the Cosy Smarter Living range that will be featured on the stand. Each one of these clever solutions puts control back in the consumers’ hands, allowing them to make vital changes that will lower their energy costs in a way that suits them best. geo will also be launching its brand new Waterlock solution, designed to monitor water systems and alert consumers to any problems so they can be immediately switched off.
Automate – geo understands that there are more pressing demands on today’s consumer than constantly monitoring and adjusting their home energy usage. The Core Smarter Power solution, which will be demonstrated on the stand, features an integrated energy management system that works with individual technologies including metering services, energy storage, solar, smart heating and appliance controls to enhance their smartness and automate their usage.
geo is also looking forward to demonstrating its fully integrated, end-to-end data services solution, Tempo Smarter Energy, to utility companies visiting EUW.
Patrick Caiger-Smith, CEO at geo, said: “EUW is so much more than just a solution showcase for us, because it provides an opportunity to discuss the real issues in home energy usage that can be addressed with today’s smart solutions. The visitors are all of a high calibre, and are interested in the innovations and partnerships that will shape the future of the sector, as are we.”
