Ultimate energy flexibility at EUW 2018

The flexible energy system of the future and the role that active homes and consumers using data-connected smart meters will play, is the focus for geo (Green Energy Options), the fast-growing smart energy solutions provider, at European Utility Week (EUW) in Vienna, Austria (6-8 November).

On the European Smart Meter Interest Group (ESMIG) stand (A.b50) geo will demonstrate how it is enabling Hybrid Homes and smarter energy grids with systems that simply connect households with the benefits of low-carbon and affordable energy, whilst allowing energy providers to access real-time customer data.

geo, which is already known for its unique active home, the Hybrid Home, will show visitors how its solutions engage with consumers through user-friendly interfaces; connect smart meter data to the cloud in order to understand how households generate and use energy, and automate control of smart energy systems to save cost and carbon by making the home’s energy requirements more flexible.

The Cambridge-based company is addressing European customers with its range of solutions, as follows:

Smarter Energy – This provides a complete service, allowing energy suppliers to easily access reliable real time energy data and optimise their customers experience of smart energy metering. At EUW geo will demonstrate their connected In-Home Energy Displays and Consumer Gateways.

Smarter Living – This range of smart home heating controls will be enhanced with new developments in electric heating control and water leak detection and management.

Smarter Power – geo’s integrated home energy management system, Core, provides consumers with a user-friendly system that works seamlessly in the background and integrates third party products like solar and EV chargers to optimise home energy consumption and management to enable the Hybrid Home.

Patrick Caiger-Smith, CEO at geo, said: “Our vision is to enable active consumers in Hybrid Homes across Europe to create the foundation of the future energy system. EUW is a fantastic forum to show how this can be achieved with cutting-edge technology that will revolutionise the way that we live. We can demonstrate how our solutions cut energy usage and bills, creating a vital flow of information to energy service providers so that the demands for energy can be better matched with supply. We look forward to meeting with informed visitors and innovative peers at the event.”
