The future is now….

Futurebuild 2019, will focus on tackling the biggest challenges impacting the built environment. Their aim is for visitors to gain unrivalled insights and hands-on experience around the latest innovations, products and materials to tackle challenges head on.

Dr Thomas Whiffen of geo will be speaking during Get Smart – The Future of UK Smart Energy session which will provide updates on some of the latest UK-funded smart energy innovation projects.

Thomas believes good ideas should improve lives…

“After spells in academia and consultancy, I am using my building, energy and engineering expertise to help geo deliver a sustainable future, through the Hybrid Home™.

With our Core energy brain at the centre, our Hybrid Home orchestrates household electrical and heating demands to be in tune with the grid. They incorporate battery storage, Cosy mart heating controls and EV charging to give households savings on their energy bills, improved living standards and ultimately reduce nationwide carbon emissions.

Eventually, together, we will solve the world’s energy needs – where every household’s heating, electrical and mobility demand will no longer be contributing to climate change.

To demonstrate the art of the possible, and the acceptance of our future grid amongst industry and the public alike, I am heading up a cross-industry team, led by geo.

Interested? Come along at 13:30 on 7th March to hear more!”
